I remember how my youngest, my son, transformed when he got in water. Even as an infant, his eyes would light up and he’d start splashing with every limb he had. He loved the water and bathtime couldn’t be too long.
This has continued into boyhood. He loves the water . . . and so do the rest of us. Especially when it’s in the 90′s, we’ve just been taking care of the chickens and pigs (ooh, the smell!), and we’re dying to get some refreshment.
Getting to the water and moving in it is the perfect family fitness activity.
Not to mention that it’s easy on the joints, provides excellent resistance for strength-building and just makes you feel lithe and beautiful as you swoop through the cool liquid.
